Civil Netizen

This program looks very shiney. Have you ever used rapidshare or any of those other sites out there that allow you to upload files and send a download link to a friend? Well this does exactly that but you do it from your computer!

I don’t know exactly how this works yet, since I’m in class and the college doesn’t allow me to install software on thier machines, so I can’t tell you how it works/how good it is until I get home, but I wanted to share it with everyone.

By the looks of it, this program as great potential. You pack a file, and you send an encrypted receipt to the receiving user via email/IM. The receiver pastes the receipt into their program and  away they go, if the site is telling me the truth. Which I hope it is.

But one of the best things is that it just doesn’t send it off. You can keep track of your sent files and the status of the download and even resume a interrupted/cancel download! Making this far superior to their web counterparts.

Also if you are tight about sercurity, or just want to make it hard for that want your info, all transfers are 128bit AES enecrypted. I know what your thinking….. sweeeeeeeeeeeeet

Wanna make the deal shiner? It handles up to 4gigs! Ohya.. thats right. I really am pulling for this software. When I get home I am going to test the crap out of this software; speeds, stability, usiablilty etc. I will let ya all know about it when i finish.
