This a pretty bloody neat. I have recently heard of similar tech in development but this seems to be the first in a line of similar pieces of software. From what I can gather about how this software works is that a person is streaming the channel and everyone that is viewing that channel is also distributing it. What this means you can get pretty good quality despite having a slower connection. The only down side is that it’s a connection hog. It slows everything down but its top be expected when using streaming tech.

As to the legality of this, it is very questionable. I think software like this should be made legal and the tv companies embrace airing their shows over the net (it is of course going to happen so they may as well have part in it). So if you have questionable ethics and a ok connection, give this a shot. Quite a few channels to pick from ranging from cartoon network to CNN to Chinese music stations.

So if you have questionable ethics and a descent hi-speed connection, give it a whirl. Pretty good.
